Pergolesi 's MAGNIFICAT & Monteverdi's BEATUS VIR
Choral Weekend – Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd May 2026
Join us in the beautiful medieval village of Dunster for a special Choral Weekend led by Tom Newall, with Rachel Fright as accompanist.
This inspiring musical retreat will feature two Baroque masterpieces — Pergolesi’s Magnificatand Monteverdi’s Beatus Vir.
The weekend begins with dinner at 6pm on Friday, followed by rehearsals throughout Saturday and Sunday morning. The event concludes with a Sunday afternoon performance at Dunster Tithe Barn.
Tom Newall, a freelance conductor and Musical Director of the Salford and Congleton Choral Societies, returns to Dunster after a successful 2025 weekend performing Poulenc’s Gloria. Tom’s international experience includes conducting at Buxton International Festival and Teatru Manoel in Malta.
