Dawn to Dusk - 3 concerts to chart your day: Dawn Call: Horn in Nature

Dawn Call: Horn in Nature

Rossini Le Rendez-vous de chasse
Brahms Étude No. 3
J.S Bach Cello Suite No. 2
Messiaen Interstellar Call

Ben Goldscheider (horn) and Naomi Taylor (reader) will greet the day atop Whiteleaf Hill; experience the sound of solo French Horn in the cool morning air, paired with poetry to get your day started in the most magical of ways. In the words of an audience member from last year’s dawn event, join us for “a spiritual gathering of great poignancy.”

Designed to frame your day, these three concerts bring you on a journey through multiple soundworlds and colours, as we greet the day together, meet mid-morning to refresh and gather once more at dusk. Ben Goldscheider invites musical colleagues to join him as he presents an eclectic and mesmerising range of works for solo horn interspersed with poetry (early morning), the innovative combination of horn and harp (mid-morning) and horn and piano (in the evening).
