If you are wanting to join a choir you'll find just what you were looking for with us in the Derry / Londonderry Rock Choir.
The local Derry / Londonderry choir is run by choir leader Jonathan Bailie. The choir will be performing locally again soon so it's a chance for you to join in, sing and perform without pressure and under the supportive guidance of Jonathan. Rock Choir members have performed and sung across the country at venues including the O2 Arena, Guilfest and many more iconic landmarks. The choir also has a charitable function in raising money and awareness for Missing People and Refuge.
Whether you only sing in the shower or along to your car radio, or whether you see yourself belting out a showstopper at Wembley Arena (which we did! - for the ITV1 documentary 'The Choir that Rocks'), there's a place for you in the Derry / Londonderry Rock Choir. With no singing audition or need to read music, anyone can come along to a FREE taster session and see why the Derry / Londonderry choir members recommend their friends!
Here is a quote about our choir - 'I spend many hours every day driving and in meetings. It's often quite a struggle to get to Rock Choir and I often don't really feel like making the effort. Something magic happens when I get there - a combination of the unfailing cheerfulness of our Rock Choir tutor, the physical movement, breathing and singing, the (usually!) lovely sound of the combined voices of the choir - suddenly the stress of the day melts away, energy returns and a feeling of well-being arrives. It's been a difficult year for me - got divorced, my best friend with terminal illness passed away and I survived a tricky restructure at work, Rock Choir has often been the one really positive highlight in my week - thank you!' - Sue (Rock Choir Member)
Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World
