Talk: Kazakhstan – the Largest Country You Know Nothing About

Kazakhstan is a huge country with terrain ranging from flatlands, steppes, taigas, rock-canyons, hills, deltas and snow capped mountains to deserts. It is host to a fascinating selection of rare plant and animal species, in particular a wide variety of birds. It has suffered badly from exploitation by its neighbour, Russia. While this presentation follows a bird watching holiday it will provide an insight into this fascinating country.

All the proceeds from the ticket sales of this talk will be shared equally between Royston Museum and the Friends of Therfield Heath.
