First look inside Erdington care home

A new care home in Erdington is preparing for its grand opening with a host of community activities.

Care UK’s Elderflower Grange, on Orphanage Road, will host a series of open days, offering a sneak peek on 9th, 10th, 16th and 17th May from 10-4 pm.

During the events, visitors will be able to take a tour around the care home, which features a hair and beauty salon, a cinema, a cafe and a bar.

They will also have the opportunity to meet the team and chat to the Home Manager, Jag Singh, before the home officially opens on Monday 18th May.

Jag, who brings 14 years of care experience, will lead a highly skilled, compassionate team, delivering expert residential and dementia care, with an emphasis on. person-centred care to enable future residents to lead fulfilling lives.

Jag said: “We're excited to be opening the doors to Elderflower Grange and welcome the community into our wonderful new home.

“We understand the importance of creating a warm, home-like feel, which is why we encourage local people to visit, meet the team and learn why life in a Care UK home is special.

“We’re incredibly proud of the warm and welcoming environment we’re creating here, and we’re looking forward to meeting the people of Erdington and the surrounding areas so they can experience it for themselves!”

Designed to enable residents to lead active and fulfilling lives, while also promoting independence, Elderflower Grange will provide full-time residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care. The home will incorporate space for hobby and leisure activities and include its own cinema, hair and beauty salon and pub.
