Paws at The Lexicon

Expect wagging tails and plenty of fun as Paws at The Lexicon comes to the town centre this May half-term, running Friday 22 May to Monday 1 June 2026, raising funds in aid of Guide Dogs, a locally based charity.

The Lexicon will be transformed into a celebration of all things canine, with free activities and interactive experiences for all ages. Some activities feature real dogs while others are dog-themed, ensuring something for everyone.

Dog owners can take on a Dog Agility Course in Union Square (opposite Boots) from Tuesday 26 to Friday 29 May, with treats and rosettes for participating dogs. Friday 29 May will be a soft toy-only session for younger children.

Across the week: dog caricature artist (Tue 26), craft sessions and storytelling (Wed 27), face painting (Thu 28–Sat 30), meet Guide Dogs volunteers and their four-legged friends (Sat 30), and come and see Bluey in Princess Square (Sat 30). All activities are free, 11am–4pm.

Visitors can also enjoy the Snap, Tag & Share competition and a themed trail with the chance to win prizes, plus a limited-edition sticker on The Lexicon Express.
