As the summer evening begins and the streets light up with colour, join family, friends and colleagues for a joyful 5km or 10km Sparkle Walk in support of Haven House Children’s Hospice. Whether you’re walking to support a local children’s hospice, to celebrate someone special, or simply to do something positive together, every step you take will help raise vital funds for Haven House.
On Saturday 6 June, come together for a fun, family-friendly walk through Buckhurst Hill, Highams Park, Woodford and Chingford. With glitter, colour and plenty of smiles along the way, Sparkle Walk is about community spirit - bringing people together to support seriously ill children and their families.
Choose a 5km or 10km route:
Both routes start and finish at Woodford Rugby Club, where you’ll find: food and drink, stalls and merchandise, sparkle and face painting, a finish line celebration. Arrive early to soak up the atmosphere, collect your t-shirt and add a little extra sparkle before setting off. Both routes start at 6:00pm, following a welcome and warm-up.
Walk with family, friends – and even your dog. Sparkle Walk is designed to be inclusive and welcoming for all. The event is suitable for: families and children, groups of friends and colleagues, wheelchairs and prams, dogs (on leads), a friendly, supportive atmosphere means everyone can take part in their own way.
Sparkle Walk is a fundraising event, and we encourage all participants to raise sponsorship to support Haven House’s vital work. We suggest a minimum fundraising target of £100, but every pound raised helps make a difference.
