Costume and Masks

FREE arts workshops in Gloucester – co-creating masks and costumes using art activism and recycled materials for The Great Big Climate Circus.

The Great Big Climate Circus is a four-year youth-led touring project in Gloucestershire. Now in its first year, in 2026 the Climate Circus will be visiting these three locations:

Saturday 20 June at Stratford Park, Stroud

Saturday 11 July at Dursley War Memorial Recreation Ground, Dursley

Saturday 18 July at The Venture Community Hub, White City, Gloucester

Family and community events 1 - 6 pm - FREE thanks to National Lottery players!

After the summer events, there are further opportunities for young people to be supported to transform their climate concerns into local and national action. Get involved!

Delivered in partnership with Creative Sustainability, World Jungle, Bromford Flagship, Cotswolds National Landscape, Ernest Cook Trust and On the Brink Arts, the project will support young people — particularly those facing barriers to participation — to build confidence, develop leadership skills and shape climate action in their own communities.
