Sir Percival Lancelot is dead.
The family has gathered.
The will is about to be read.
And somewhere inside Lancelot Manor… an ear has gone missing.
Following the success of last year’s Cinderella – The Elders Panto, the Church Street Elders return to The Cockpit with a brand-new devised murder mystery full of secrets, lies, absurd family rivalries, suspicious servants, inheritance battles, and increasingly questionable detective work.
Part Agatha Christie parody, part ensemble theatre experiment, The Mysterious Case of Sir Percival Lancelot and His Missing Ear has been created through improvisation, storytelling, physical theatre, and collective devising by members of Dendê Collective’s Drama for Elders programme.
Expect dramatic revelations, chaotic reconstructions, hidden motives, terrible alibis, and a manor house full of people who may — or may not — have had something to do with Sir Percival’s untimely end.
And then… there is the second death.
Using a playful theatrical language inspired by classic murder mysteries, ensemble storytelling, and highly imaginative low-fi staging, the cast transform chairs, bodies, sound, and movement into the strange and crumbling world of Lancelot Manor.
No two performances are likely to be exactly the same.
Come and help solve the mystery… if you can.
