Join local artist Helen Grimbleby for a relaxing afternoon of sketching.
Being in nature, being near water make us feel good, and slowing down to really observe and enjoy nature is shown in many studies to be excellent for our mental health.
Nature journaling or sketch-booking is a low pressure, relaxed approach to drawing and painting where the focus is on the process of looking, noting and enjoying nature.
In this two-hour session your tutor will guide you to areas of interest at the Centre. After some guidance, you will wander by the waterside gathering ideas, notes and photographs. You might also make some sketches.
Later, in the lovely Lakeside Room, you will try different techniques and approaches to make a few drawings, paintings and notes in a mini sketchbook to take away.
All materials will be provided for you.
This workshop is designed for both beginners and improvers.
