The Armed Man - A Mass for Peace
Three Motets = Stanford
Karl Jenkins’ powerful and deeply moving work The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace has become one of the most performed choral pieces of recent decades. Blending texts from the traditional Latin Mass with words drawn from different cultures and historical periods, it takes the listener on an emotional journey through the horrors of war to a hopeful vision of peace.
Solihull Choral Society are delighted to bring this much-loved work to life, alongside two of the three motets by Charles Villiers Stanford; unaccompanied choral gems known for their rich harmonies and expressive beauty.
