Calling all Gilbert and Sullivan fans in Northamptonshire! Make sure you don't miss a Gala concert at All Saints' Church, West Haddon, near Northampton on Saturday 12 September at 7.30pm when 'The Wandering Minstrels' (www.wanderingminstrels.org.uk) will present an evening of Savoy favourites entitled 'THE WORLD OF GILBERT AND SULLIVAN'. They will sing, act and dance their way through 'The Pirates of Penzance', 'The Yeomen of the Guard', 'The Mikado', 'Utopia', 'Ruddigore', ' The Gondoliers', 'The Grand Duke', 'Trial by Jury' and 'HMS Pinafore'. Artistes taking part in this Gala concert are Joanna Brabbs, Emma Stratton, Charles Mills, Stephen Godward and Tim Hurst-Brown, with Peter Hewitt at the piano. Wine and nibbles will be available in the interval. This event is bound to be extremely popular, so members of the public are urged to purchase their tickets early in order to avoid disappointment. Don't miss what promises to be a thoroughly enjoyable evening! All proceeds to West Haddon Church.
