Alverstoke Garden Walkabout 2026
On 27th and 28th June 1-5pm the residents of the seaside village of Alverstoke by Gosport in Hampshire will again open their gardens to raise money for the Alverstoke Parish Centre Regeneration Fund - (registered charity name: St Mary’s Alverstoke PCC, no 1130178).
We’re looking forward to welcoming the Mayor of Gosport, Councillor Kirsten Bradley on Sat 27th June, when she will formally open the event at 1pm in the Parish Centre, before visiting some of the gardens.
There are 16 gardens to explore - new gardens, returning gardens that have had makeovers, and frequent flyers - one with views across the Solent, another with a model steam railway, and one with fairies to find, a pirate ship to explore, and giant lego to build. There are allotments, landscapes and views over the Solent in addition to an award-winning garden golf course.
Entry is by programme which costs £10 per adult (free for accompanied children) and this ticket is for both days. It has a stylised map, lists the gardens, their accessibility, whether they are dog friendly, and whether they are selling plants or refreshments. Tea with homemade cake will be available in the Parish Centre.
Tickets will be on sale from 12.00 at the Parish Centre, Green Road, Alverstoke PO12 2ET, and from participating gardens.
