A funeral home in Skipton is providing a lifeline to bereaved families as Father’s Day approaches.
After research* found that 58% of those who have experienced bereavement find calendar events such as Father’s Day difficult, Co-op Funeralcare Skipton, on Keighley Road, is inviting local people to join its bereavement support group.
Led by Nigel Demaline, Celebrant and Grief Counsellor, the group will meet on Friday 19th June, from 11am-2pm at Co-op Funeralcare Skipton, offering support to those navigating the emotional challenges that significant dates can bring. The drop-in session is intended to be a safe space where people can share their experiences, take comfort in a supportive environment, or simply listen over a cup of tea or coffee.
The group is built on two simple principles: confidentiality and respect. Through peer support and shared experiences, it provides an essential service to those in the local community and is open to anyone who is grieving and looking for a supportive space to connect with others who have experienced loss.
