Free sporting fun is coming to Glasgow Fort this weekend, as the centre launches its Big Summer Sports Camp, offering families a schedule of activities throughout the summer at no cost.
Taking place every Saturday from 27th June to 1st August, the programme will bring a different themed challenge to the centre each week, ranging from Football Freestylers to ‘Balloon Wimbledon’.
Located outside Primark between 11am and 4pm*, the action will get underway this Saturday (27th June) with The Big Sports Day, giving visitors the chance to try their hand Egg & Spoon Dash, Hulahoop championship and more!
The summer line-up will continue with Summer Ballers on 4th July, where visitors can put their football skills to the test, before Balloon Wimbledon takes centre court on 11th July. Families can also look forward to sessions including Ninja Warriors and Football Freestylers.
As well as the weekly events, the Big Summer Sports Camp will include a free activity zone open every day, where families can drop in and enjoy free summer games together.
Adding to the summer fun, Glasgow Fort will also welcome a series of blockbuster-inspired characters to the centre on selected dates between Saturday 28th June and Saturday 1st August.
Taking place from 11am until 4pm**, families can enjoy superhero meet-and-greets and roaming character appearances across the centre, starting with Wolvie, the Mighty Green One and the Red Ninja on Saturday 28th June.
Then, ahead of Spider-Man: Brand New Day swinging into cinemas, the Web-slinger character will visit the centre on Saturday 25th July and Saturday 1st August, giving fans of all ages the chance to snap a selfie before he heads off on his next mission.
There is no need to book in advance for any of the character visits, but visitors are encouraged to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
