The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA) in Edgbaston is launching a brand-new Saturday morning academy on 12 September after reaching full capacity and building a waiting list of more than 50 young people.
The new session will create up to 80 additional places for local children and teenagers aged six to 18, allowing more families to access PQA’s training in Musical Theatre, Film & Television, and Comedy & Drama.
Run every Saturday from 10:15am to 1:30pm, budding young performers, filmmakers and comedians will develop skills both on stage and behind the camera, exploring acting, filmmaking, scriptwriting and production in a fun and supportive environment.
Principal Ariya Amin, alongside her team of professional teachers, are dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive space for young people to discover themselves whilst learning the latest techniques in performing arts. Performing arts isn’t just about singing and dancing, there are also opportunities for all young people to explore comedy, story writing, TV and filmmaking.
For those who cannot attend on Saturday, PQA is proud to offer a free session throughout the year. To book, please visit www.pqacademy.com/academies/edgbaston/.
