Nuneaton care homes to host food festivals for local community
With festival season officially under way, two care homes in Nuneaton are welcoming the community for a fun-filled day of food and celebration.
Care UK’s Gildawood Court, on School Walk and Holly Grange, on Tuttle Hill, will open their doors to families and neighbours for a food festival, inviting guests to tuck in and celebrate the nation’s shared love of great cuisine, community and connection.
Gildawood Court will be hosting a two-day event, starting with an international buffet on Thursday 6th August, from 4pm-5pm, where guests will be able to enjoy a selection of residents' favourite cuisines and dishes from around the world. The following day, from 10am, visitors will have the opportunity to take a trip back in time by sampling food from across the decades, including 50s cold cuts, 60s vol-au-vents, 70s prawn cocktail and 80s pork pies, amongst much more.
