St Leonard's, Hythe Open Day
Heritage Open Day: Come and explore St Leonard's as you've never before! Both towers will be open throughout the day to explore the bells and see Hythe from the rooftop. There will also be churchyard tours, parish records to peruse and the crypt open for longer. On Saturday 19th September from 9:30am-4pm St Leonard's Church will be completely open. The day will feature:
- tours of the West Tower to explore the ringing chamber and bells.
- a chance to visit the Round Tower and East Roof to see Hythe from the hilltop and get some amazing photos.
- tours of the churchyard to visit some of the interesting characters who rest in the churchyard.
- the church's vestments on display and a talk as to their purpose.
- an exhibition in the Parvis with some a chance to flick through some of the parish records.
The crypt will be open all day (usual charges apply).
