Heritage Open Day: Grade 11* Listed Church St Edmund’s Church, Wootton Bridge, is a Church of England parish church on Church Road, Wootton, on the Isle of Wight. The church is medieval in origin and is traditionally described as having been built in 1087 as a chapel for the nearby manor house. Its early fabric includes an eleventh- or early twelfth-century nave, with the chancel added around two centuries later. The building is especially notable for its fine Norman south doorway, later medieval windows and long association with the historic settlement of Wootton.
