Faces of the Somme - 110th Anniversary Exhibition & Activities
Heritage Open Day: On its 110th anniversary, we explore through WW1 objects & first hand accounts, the Royal Warwickshire Regiment's part in the significant battle of Somme, 1916. Family activities will include real artefacts & creative activities linked to the theme. 2026 marks the 110th anniversary of the Somme Offensive, one of the most significant battles of the First World War. The museum will mark the occasion with a special temporary exhibition exploring stories of soldiers of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, dipping into personal diaries, photographs and letters as well as the uniforms and kit these soldiers wore. The exhibition will be accompanied by a series of family activities exploring the life of soldiers in the trenches.
