Heritage Open Day: Guided tours, woodland walk, talks, traction engine rides, craft stalls, refreshments. Our fullest heritage open day programme yet as we bring in new speakers to give talks on aspects of the local heritage and as we invite other local organisations to join us for the day, including local steam enthusiasts and the local static engine society. We know that our Founder used a Magic Lantern when giving illustrated talks 130 years ago so in keeping with the theme of Then and Now, we are delighted to have the Magic Lantern Society join us on the day. We will have craftwork on display this year, as well as hands-on crafting opportunities for children and various other stands.
