The Treasures of the Old Library
Heritage Open Day: The 17th-century Old Library of St John’s College exhibits a millennium’s worth of treasures, from manuscripts and rare printed books to pioneering photography and personal papers. Public exhibitions in the Old Library of St John’s College have, for some years now, been curated according to themes (including skeletons, jokes, the classical elements, private presses, animals, vegetables, minerals, and many more). For Open Cambridge this year we’re putting the themes on pause in the name of offering a particularly diverse selection of Library treasures.
