Working histories at Wentworth Castle Gardens

Heritage Open Day: Explore glorious gardens, woodland and parkland, alongside some fascinating monuments and a Victorian Conservatory. There will be special events on during the Heritage Open Days festival, exploring working histories of the estate. On Fri 18, Sat 19 and Sun 20 Sept, 10.30am - 3.30pm, take a rare look inside St James, the former estate chapel, and uncover stories of the people whose work shaped life on the estate. Volunteer stewards will be on hand to share the history of this special building.

Join an Orangery and Walled Garden tour on Fri 18 Sept at 11am. Must be booked in advance via our website.

On Fri 18 & Sat 19 Sept, 11am - 3pm, meet Sheffield Coppice Workers who will be demonstrating traditional woodland crafts.
