Faith and Heritage Open House: Eastbourne Latter-day Saint Chapel
Heritage Open Day: Learn more about the history of the Eastbourne Latter-day Saint Chapel and its history as a school. Have a tour of the building, and then you can visit a FamilySearch station to get help researching your family history. The building was constructed in 1874 as an extension of St. Saviour and St. Peter's Church to house their choir and served as the Eastbourne Day School, providing education for children living locally until the Second World War. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints purchased the building and dedicated it on 21 October 2001 as the Eastbourne Ward meeting house.
