Heritage Open Day: There's free entry to Trengwainton from 13-17 & 20 Sept (closed Fri & Sat) to experience the garden with your senses through touch, audio and visual prompts. There's 25 acres of gardens to explore that's packed with plants from around the world. A half-mile tarmac drive is is bordered by walled gardens, streams and wooded paths that open out onto a terrace with sea views across Mounts Bay. Prompts around the garden encourage a sensory experience through touch, sight, sound and smell.
The café serves hot and cold drinks, light savoury snacks and a range of cakes, plus sweet and savoury gluten-free options. There's also a shop, plant centre and second-hand bookshop.
