Allesley Park Walled Garden History & Heritage Orchard
Heritage Open Day: The Walled Garden dates back to c1785, and is now an educational resource run by volunteers. House next door in Arts and Crafts style c1913 with old dovecote (not open). Features a kitchen garden, medicinal herbs and heritage orchard. Short talks with visuals on a large screen throughout the day. Featuring newspaper proprietor William Isaac Iliffe who purchased the hall and its lands. Also a heritage orchard within its walls that has become a wildlife haven. Images projected in the pavilion.
