Heritage Open Day: Come and see us! Our Church Tower will be open to visit the ringing chamber and tower top. Displays of church and local history - Stories of our building, and the Every day people from our past and present. There's even a virtual tower tour too. Come and explore our church building, which has seen many changes in its history which stretch back over nine centuries.
The church tower, which celebrated its 150th last year since being rebuilt, will be open. It is 120 feet high and has a commanding view of the town and the surrounding area. There are 8 bells, the oldest of which dates back to 1610. Tower tours will happen throughout the day. Each tour will last about 30-40 minutes. (See notes on age limits and accessibility.
