Heritage Open Day: St Thomas’ Church Greetland and West Vale will be open to the public on Saturday 19th September 1030 until 1530. There will be a local history display, two talks, a guided walk and access to many areas not usually available to the public. The church building will be open. Historic local maps and photographs will be on display. Church artifacts and areas of the building, not normally open to the public, will be accessible.
We are featuring two different talks at 11:30 & 1:30 entitled “The Life & Times of Greetlander William Stott†covering life in this area during the early 20th century.
