Heritage Open Day: Wallasey Village Library: A 1930s Beacon Reborn
Heritage Open Day | Exploring our Civic Past and Community Future
Since its opening in 1938, Wallasey Village Library has stood as a proud symbol of civic pride and local education. This Heritage Open Day, we invite you to step inside a building that has recently made history once again. After a period of closure, our library was returned to the people in December 2024 through a dedicated community asset transfer—one of the most successful resident-led campaigns in the Wirral.
Architectural & Social Highlights
Visitors will have the opportunity to appreciate the classic 1930s design, characterized by the clean lines and functional elegance typical of the interwar period.
