Heritage Open Day: The renovated medieval church of Ss Simon & Jude in Castlethorpe has Norman architecture, an impressive 17th century monument to Sir Thomas Tyrrill and an environmentally friendly churchyard. Look around, ask questions and join us for refreshments. Come and explore our Grade I listed parish church, sited on what was the motte of a Norman castle. Some stonework dates from about 1250, although much of it was rebuilt a hundred years later. There are two medieval mass dials on the wall facing the road.
