The Smithy Heritage Centre
Heritage Open Day: The Smithy is a small museum based in Eccleston just outside of St Helens and located just off the A580 (East lancs road) that joins Liverpool to Manchester. It tells the story of the original blacksmiths that were at this location. Each year The Smithy (open beginning of April to end of September, sat & sun 1pm to 4pm) has a new aditional display. This year it is what no sweets looking at children in wartime and what they experienced.
