Heritage Open Day: Hear from Park historian David Griffiths how Huddersfield's attractive town centre park was created and how it has been reshaped over the years since it opened to the public in September 1884. Greenhead Park is a Grade II listed Victorian town park which has been restored to its former glory thanks to a multi-million pound Heritage Lottery funded project. The story of the park began well before its opening 142 years ago, and continued to unfold over the years as changes were made to meet new needs and challenges.
