Heritage Open Day: Halifax Minster is noted for its stunning architecture. It is a 15th Century Grade 1 listed Parish Church, the third church on the site. The Minster is a place of worship, prayer, civic engagement, education and culture. The Minster is rich in history, heritage, spirituality and architecture. Marvel at its beautiful stained glass and the simple elegance of its Commonwealth windows, the craftsmanship of the ornate font cover and box pews, 'Mousey' Thompson chairs in the Regimental Chapel and the Minster's stunning painted wooden ceiling.
The Minster is due to begin some major conservation work to the stonework in the tower and south aisle.
