Everyday Histories: Ramsgate Royal Heritage Harbour & Town Trail

Heritage Open Day: Walk in the footsteps of the Ramsgate craftspeople from the last 300 years who lived and worked in and around the Royal Harbour on a new guided trail. * Start at the Visitor Information Centre in Harbour Parade, with an introduction to Ramsgate's craft heritage and those who worked in around the town's Grade II* listed Royal Harbour - the only official Harbour of Refuge in the UK (full tour only available on Saturday 19th September).
* Learn about the skills needed by Ramsgate's fishing fleet, the lives of the Smack Boy apprentices and the crafts of sailors working on the trading wherries along the quaysides.
