Heritage Open Day: The Hall including the Temple will be open. Our talks will reflect this year's theme, with local Freemasons on hand to answer questions about it and other Masonic topics. Part of the Godalming Community for almost 140 Years The original Masonic Hall in Godalming was built around 1888 in South Street and was replaced by the current Masonic Centre in 1988, which continues to showcase historic features transferred from the original building, including a large stone fireplace, two beautiful stained glass windows, several ornate chairs and a variety of other masonic items still in regular use in the temple today.
This year’s Heritage theme of “Celebrating the lives of ordinary men and women†resonates with Freemasonry as a great number of men and women have enjoyed being members of this world wide organisation for many years
