Celebrating the Centenary of the Cavendish Village Hall in Beeley

Heritage Open Day: Please come and see the Cavendish Village Hall, various exhibitions,including the Beeley Queens project, Beeley houses and their residents social and everyday life The hall celebrates its 100-year centenary. It was created as a charitable Trust by the Duke of Devonshire in 1926, please come and see the Women's Institute and heritage room. Beeley WI is one of the oldest in the country, there is also on display photographs taken of soldiers from Beeley who took part in the Great War. Chris Boyce a local resident has researched the houses in Beeley and who lived in them and what they did in their everyday lives, his beautiful artworks of each house will also be on display.
