The Montefiore, Synagogue and Mausoleum

Heritage Open Day: Visit this unique and historically significant building, built by Moses Montefiore, on Friday, 18th September, and explore its rich cultural and architectural heritage. Usually closed to the public, it was designed by the distinguished Anglo Jewish architect David Mocatta and opened with great fanfare in 1833. The synagogue has been designated as one of the best in Britain by Jewish Heritage UK.
