Talk on Archaeology of human remains Dean Heritage Centre is a popular museum and visitor attraction, This year there is a talk about the Archaeology of human remains
Archaeologist Janet Bailey will talk about human remains recovered from archaeological excavations that are part of the collections held at Dean Heritage Centre. She will tell the stories as far as we know of the individuals in the collection. We will also be exploring how people feel about human remains in museum collections and how best to represent them.

Dean Heritage Centre is a Grade II listed site that was an Iron Forge in the 1600s, iron foundry early 1800s, corn mill late 1800s, leather board factory late 1800s to early 1900s, saw mill mid 1900s. Come in for free on our Heritage Open Day. donations gratefully accepted.
