St Mary Magdalene Church, Holmwood
Heritage Open Day: Our beautiful Victorian Church is open every day from dawn until dusk.
On Sunday 20th September we will be offering cream teas and prosecco from 2.30pm - 5.00pm.Photo opportunities from the tower, and a chance to ring the carillon bells. Built in 1838 and subsequently enlarged as the local population increased with the coming of the railways, St Mary Magdalene is a beautiful country church in The Holmwood. There are a number of striking memorials to discover both inside and out.
The church is situated in an ideal position to take advantage of the surrounding countryside of Redlands Wood and Leith Hill.
