Slava needs no introduction! We are so thrilled that he is returning to play for us on 21 November. Coffee, Tea and Biscuits are served from 11.00 am and the Recital starts at 12 noon. There is a retiring collection.
After Slava's first Recital, people asked us to turn the piano so that they could see his fingers. We did and the response was that his fingers flew so fast that the audience couldn't keep up! We are certainly in for a treat!
We shall leave Slava's biography for the programme on the day but suffice it to say that he started learning the piano at the age of 6 and by the time he was 8, he had won several junior competitions. He has gone on to study at the Royal Academy of Music and performs widely with orchestras and solo recitals at many venues including the Wigmore Hall.
His programme will feature: Frédéric Chopin, Barcarolle, Op. 60
Franz Liszt, Aux cyprès de la Villa d’Este II: Thrénodie — from Années de pèlerinage, Book III;
Concert Étude No. 2: Gnomenreigen;
Les jeux d’eaux à la Villa d’Este (The Fountains of the Villa d’Este) — from Années de pèlerinage, Book III;
Mazeppa — from the Transcendental Études
