National Bird Carving Championships, The Festival of Bird Art
Organised by the BDWCA (the British Decoy & Wildfowl Carvers Association) and featuring the BDWCA Annual Competitions 2025.
A wide variety of Bird and Wildfowl carvings at Youth, Novice, Intermediate & Advanced levels will be competing for rosettes and trophies, with the best bird carving winning the title of British Champion 2025.
There will also be Exhibition Tables showing bird carvings not entered in the competition together with other animal carvings.
Demonstrations of Wildfowl Carving, Painting, and Decorative Techniques will take place during the weekend.
Stockists of carving supplies, wood for carving, books, equipment, paints and carving essentials will also be present together with well known Wildlife Artists.

Admission: £2.50, Senior Citizens - £2.00, Under 16s - FreeOpening Hours: Saturday 13th 11am to 5pm, Sunday 14th 10am to 3.30pm when the presentation of the trophies and prizes by the Mayor of Bakewell, will take place.
