Garden Opening - National Gardens Scheme
This mature garden in Highgate is being opened to the public on Sunday afternoon, 19th May in aid of charity. There are lawns, shrubs, a pond and herbaceous borders, a tea-tent and plant sale. Free plant maps help to identify the usual and unusual. For the younger visitors, there will be a treasure hunt (with prizes). Open regularly every year through the National Gardens Scheme in aid of a number of charities, principally the MacMillan Nurses.
2.30 pm --- 5.30 pm. Adults: £3.50. Children: Free.
Sadly, the 8 steps down to the garden make it unsuitable for wheelchair visitors THOUGH there are 2 firm handrails.
