Broughton House in Main Street, Kirkcudbright, was the home of Edward Hornel,Glasgow Boy and one of Scotland's best known artists. The house and garden are now in the care of the National Trust for Scotland and, in the tiny downstairs laundry room, occasional little gems may be found.
