Nightingales at RSPB Highnam Woods
Join us for an unforgettable experience, as we seek the elusive songster of the woods – the nightingale. Gloucestershire is at the north western edge of the range for this species, meaning that it is even more important that we ensure that each year there is suitable woods for them to return to (from African wintering grounds) for breeding and raising their young. The males sing through the night, so listening for them as the sun sets adds to the experience.
