Scandimoot: Concert of traditional Scandinavian music & dance
Come to an exciting concert of traditional Scandinavian music and dance with wonderfully talented Nordic artists; brought to you by Scandimoot as part of our weekend event in the Yorkshire Dales.

Sigrid Stubsveen: a fiddler from Engerdal in eastern Norway. She was chosen as the Young Folk Musician of the Year in 2020.

Johanne Løkensgard Mjøs: a fiddle and hardanger fiddle player from Bergen in western Norway, she is now one of the country’s foremost traditional fiddlers.

Anna-Karin Andersson: a musician, composer and fiddle teacher, from Malmö, Sweden. She plays both fiddle and hardanger fiddle.

Simon Hesselberg Løvald: a dancer, focusing on the traditional dances of Hallingdal in Norway. He has made a name for himself in the Norwegian folk dancing community and is an elite-class dancer in the national competitions.

Solfrid Nestegard Gjeldokk: comes from a family of famous dancers within the Hallingdal folk dance community and is also a traditional singer.

Åsmund Fauske Jøtun: has played hardanger fiddle from the age of nine, learning from some of the greatest fiddlers in Hallingdal, he is also an expert dancer.

Andrew Parr trained as a dancer in Sweden and is also a talented musician.

The concert will be followed by dancing to live music and you are also welcome to stay and join in.
