On December 5th the 140 strong Addison Oratorio Choir, the Brandenburg Sinfonia and four first-class soloists perform one of the most iconic of all choral works, George Frederick Handel’s oratorio ‘Messiah’. Handel wrote ‘Messiah’ in just over three weeks – an incredible achievement, even for Handel, who was used to writing quickly to meet the demands of theatrical performances.
