The World Barge Pulling Championships 2018
Teams of 4 are invited to take part in the event and to become world champions, following on from the success in previous years. The aim is to pull an old working barge weighing 64 tons along a measured course of 200 metres in the fastest time. The barge is of course on water so the weight becomes less of a handicap as it starts to move.
