Northern Aldborough Festival: James Baillieu (piano) & The Heath String Quartet
The Heath Quartet, Aldborough alumni and recent winners of the 2016 Gramophone Award for Chamber Music, perform with the young South African pianist James Baillieu, whose extraordinary emergence recently led to the unique distinction of an eleven concert series in his name at the Wigmore Hall. The programme includes Shostakovich’s Piano Quintet and Beethoven’s String Quartet Op. 59 No. 1.
