Dr James Pearce-Higgins is Director of Science for the British Trust for Ornithology and a world leader in how climate change affects bird migration. Drawing on his extensive research published in a recent book, James explains how climate change has affected the population and distribution of birds and suggests how future polices could be modelled to help mitigate the threats to birds' conservation status. No-one with an interest in climate change, conservation, ecology or birds will want to miss this talk. We shall start at 7.45 pm and finish by 9.45 pm. There will be a fifteen minute break for refreshments and getting to know local BBOWT volunteers and other members. Members and non-members are equally welcome. To find the Memorial Centre use the link to the map and go through the free car park to the place marked as the library, which is next door. Admission £3 including refreshments.
