Tracing Huguenot History
Huguenots were Protestant refugees from 17th and 18th century France, who fled from religious persecution. Some 50,000 came to Britain and many people have a family story of descent from them, or from the earlier waves of Dutch and French religious refugees. Kathy Chater explains to members of Buckinghamshire Family History Society how to go about establishing whether the story is true.
